FCA – Financial Conduct Authority
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the main financial regulator in the UK. This is the British Commission, which regulates companies that offer financial products and services. It is a very strict regulator and often imposes fines in the range of millions of pounds. Sometimes fines are related to both companies and their customers.
If a client of a broker is accused of using inside information when trading financial markets, he could be sentenced to a prison term for inside trading.
The tax rate for individuals who trade with brokers licensed by the FCA depends on the tax conditions in the countries where customers reside. Brokers are required to provide financial information to the tax authorities of countries around the world.
